Luna's Drug Trial Update: 10 Weeks Out, Labs Are Perfect!
If you’re new to following Luna's progress or the FIP world, you can catch up by reading Luna's back story here: Luna's FIP Story. The great progress keeps coming! Luna will be nine months old on October 9th. Her labs were drawn yesterday (the last draw was six weeks ago), and every component was perfectly within the normal range. These are the best and most stable results she’s had to date! (and they’ve always been good)!
She’s growing in weight and stature (almost nine pounds now) and has gotten a bit "fluffy" around the mid-section, which we’ve watched closely to ensure its weight gain/growth and not a relapse! We hope it's just a growth spurt, and she’ll level out as she approaches the one-year mark.
What’ll likely help with this is new weight gain, are her two new siblings (Savannah kittens) this past week, whom I’ll introduce in another post. They should keep her energetic and active for sure! We feel it won't be long before we can confidently say that Luna has been cured of effusive FIP. We’ll never let our guard down completely, but my gut and heart tell me this drug will end the curse of FIP once and for all!
